Robert Blaha, long-time community servant
Robert Blaha, his wife Susan, and their seven children have dedicated considerable time, energy and resources to community service in the 5th Congressional District through the years. Robert believes that personal engagement at the local level creates the deep roots that support a strong society.
During his eighteen years in the 5th Congressional District, Robert has participated actively in the school choice movement, and he champions the right of parents to choose what’s best for their own children’s education. In addition to their children attending numerous public schools within the District, the Blahas were a founding family at Monument Academy charter school, and personally served as volunteer parents and donors at The Classical Academy charter school, where several of their children later attended.
Robert has served on boards as diverse as Hope & Home (providing adoption and foster care) and the USA Boxing Board, where he was Vice Chair. The Blaha family have been and remain active in various church organizations over the years. He is also a founding member of The Thorn Board of Directors. This international touring passion play has inspired hundreds of thousands via its profoundly moving live production.
The Blaha’s family charity, 7 Arrows, is administered with their seven adult children and has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to worthy causes over the last several years. A partial recipient list includes Care and Share, Christian Community Foundation, Pikes Peak Community Foundation, Navigators, Benevolent Fund Freestore, Omega Arts, Amateur Athletics Union (AAU), Chernobyl Fund, Adventures in Missions, The Empty Stocking Fund, Desire Ministries, Tessa, CASA, International Bible Society, and various churches.
Having already given to the community in so many tangible ways, Robert now looks to take the next step in public service. To do that, he is asking voters in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District to have the same courage and faith – in themselves and him – that he has shown in the community, and to join his campaign to bring the peoples’ voice to Washington, D.C.

“I would summarize Robert’s role as a Board member as: TOTAL COMMITMENT.”
– Tom Virgets, Senior Associate Athletic Director at US Naval Academy

“Robert Blaha is prepared, motivated and will lead others by his actions.”
– Edward Weichers Jr., Associate Professor and Head Boxing Coach at USAF Academy
