ROBERT BLAHA SIGNS TERM-LIMITS PLEDGE  AND NO EARMARKS PLEDGE

Robert Blaha, Republican candidate for Congress in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District, has signed two pledges today.

The first pledge is the US Term Limits Amendment pledge.  This pledge states that Blaha, as a member of Congress, will cosponsor and vote for the U.S. Term Limits Amendment of three House terms and two Senate terms.   Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma is among those who have already signed this pledge.

The second pledge Blaha signed today is the AFP Colorado Earmark Pledge.  This pledge states that the member of/or candidate for the US Congress from Colorado will refuse to seek or support earmarks.

“With the first pledge, we take a critical step toward elimination of the permanent political class in Washington, and returning to the citizen legislator model our founders intended.  With the second pledge, we begin to rein in out of control federal government spending,” said Blaha.  “I would challenge Congressman Lamborn to join me in signing these common sense pledges.”
